Naomi Lulendo est une artiste interdisciplinaire franco-guadeloupéenne-congolaise. Son travail prend forme dans le puzzle, la peinture, la photographie, l'installation et la performance et emprunte à l'esthétique des objets manufacturés, de la série ou du fragment. Sa démarche artistique consiste en l'exploration des articulations entre les différentes formes d’expression et de représentation que sont l’architecture, le design, le corps, la mystique et l’ésotérisme. Naomi Lulendo revendique une position située depuis ses origines caribéennes, européennes et africaines.
Au post-diplôme, Naomi resserre ses observations pour se concentrer sur les cotonnades. Prenant comme point de départ la circulation des Indiennes, entre l’Asie, l’Europe et les Caraïbes dès le XVIIe siècle, elle développe une en-quête portant sur l’histoire impériale à travers l’histoire des marchandises et leur impact sur l’histoire des techniques, la botanique, l’architecture industrielle et le style.

Naomi Lulendo is a French-Guadeloupean-Congolese interdisciplinary artist. Her work takes form in puzzle, painting, photography, installation and performance, and borrows from the aesthetics of manufactured objects, series and fragments. Her work investigates the interconnections between different means of expression and representation, ranging from architecture, design, the body, mysticism and esotericism. Naomi Lulendo claims a site-specific position from her Caribbean, European and African origins.
In her Post-Diplôme,research, Naomi narrows her observatons to focus on cotton garments. Starting with the circulation of Indiennes (Indian cotton fabrics) between Asia, Europe and the Caribbean from the 17th century onwards, she develops an in-depth investigation of imperial history through the history of commodities and their impact on the history of techniques, botanical science, industrial architecture and stylistic design.
